Founded in the year 2015, Dept. of Agriculture started functioning with a vision to impart in-depth knowledge of agricultural sciences and train students of rural Punjab in developing expertise in frontier areas of agriculture for a sustainable agricultural production. The students are specially groomed for technical knowledge of agriculture industry. A multidisciplinary approach is the essence of the course which is achieved by offering specialization in various fields of agriculture. The department has a strong interdisciplinary research and teaching base in agriculture, biotechnological science and engineering which prepares the students for academics, research, and agro-industry and in various field jobs. The department has well qualified and experienced staff along with well- equipped full-fledge laboratories with modern audio visual aids for teaching learning process. Also the department organizes Rural Agricultural work experience, filed demonstration and visits to agricultural industries for overall development of the students. The department has been consistently working towards the goal to produce highly skilled and scientifically oriented manpower through flexible, adoptive and progressive training programs.
